Anchored around a series of colour coded neighbourhoods, this fit out for RMIT Online was designed and delivered in 6 months to cater for an extremely agile team. Extensive stakeholder consultation broke the many modes of working into a set of precise ‘types’ characterised as corners (for a quick chat), booths (for groups), mess halls (for stand up workflow) and amphitheatres (for formal presentations). Alongside these spaces, conventional meeting rooms are provided with extensive operable walls permitting their almost complete reconfiguration to suit the various programmed and un-programmed modes of collaboration that were anticipated.
