The Jungle

An intertwined series of rooms with extensive, functionally surfaced operable walls to provide an ever-changing, interactive workspace.

This workspace for some two hundred and fifty professional staff was imagined as a topography of intertwined rooms. Separated into three key working hubs, the material palette transitions from warm, desert hues to the north, through blue rivers in the centre, to the lush green rainforest of the south. In each hub, colours, textures and materials spill out to form secondary spaces - break out pop up presentation corners, drop-in work points, phone booths, quiet pods. The rich tapestry is an elegant gradient, but at times gives way to sharpness and disjunction, a deliberate strategy to provide focus on key meeting spaces - the ‘rocks’ in the landscape.
